Naam Shabana Friday (Day 1) Box Office Collections is 5.12 crore. The 1st Day Collection is Decent for the film but it is nowhere according to the acquisition price.

The film has been released on 2100 screens but the occupancy was very low on the screens. Since the screen-count was so big, even with low occupancy, the film managed to put a decent first day total at the box office. The release size is almost 50 % more than Phillauri where as the collections are only 20 % more and this demonstrates the occupancy level of the film across board.
The film now needs a good growth of around 25-30 % on both Saturday and Sunday to give the distributors a chance at succeeding at the box office. The initial word of mouth is not very encouraging.
The presence of Akshay Kumar helped the film by at least 45-50 %. In normal scenarios, the film would have barely touched 3 crore mark at the box office. While Akshay Kumar definitely gave the film some sort of assistance in terms of initial pull, the idea of releasing the film in 2100 screens makes absolute no business sense
