The trailer of the movie Gold had a very positive response as the film gave the impression of an inspirational story which can cater to a large section of audiences. Few of the songs even though are good have not become big hits.
Economics wise the film is safe and the long 5 day weekend will surely help in the film recovering its cost easily. The film will face competition from the John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate which even though is smaller film with a lesser cast than the Akshay Kumar film, it will still give it competition in mass belts and smaller centres.
