Remarks
- The second 100 cr Grosser Worldwide in 2016 after Airlift. The second Superhit as well as successful film of 2016 after Airlift. Coincidentally, both Airlift and Neerja are based on real life stories.
- In terms of domestic business, the nett of the film is higher than the likes of Queen, Mary Kom, Kahaani etc. but the gross business in similar range. Neerja got lot of benefit from tax free status in multiplexes.
- The film is the highest grosser for Sonam Kapoor as a Solo Lead (Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had Salman Khan, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag saw her in an extended cameo)
