Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer has crossed 550 crore gross collections at the worldwide box office after its third weekend - a testimony to Rajini's evergreen superstardom.

The film continued its rampage at the box office in-spite of heavy competition from the new releases in all its domestic markets - Tamil Nadu, Karanataka, Andhra Pradesh Telangana and Kerala. The film did slow down on its third Friday but the unfavorable reports of most of the new releases across multiple languages turned the tide in favor of Jailer again from the third Saturday at the box office.
The film has a shot at extreme small shot at 600 crore mark but it is not completely out of question at least till now. The film is definitely breaching the 575 crore mark at the box office with a chance at ending its run at around 590 crores mark. The film has 10 more days at the box office until the huge release of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan at the box office.
The film is the All Time Highest Grossing Tamil film in Karnataka and Kerala. It is the All Time Second Highest Grossing Tamil (dubbed in Telugu) film in the Andhra Pradesh /Telangana states behind Rajini's 2.0. It is currently the third highest grossing film in its home market behind PS1 and Vikram but it will break the Vikram number by the fourth weekend.
Rajini now has two 500 crore worldwide grosser. All Time Topper is 2.0 (670 crores) followed by Jailer. No one else in Tamil industry is close to him in terms of worldwide box office. The next best is Mani Ratnam who has a major major grosser with PS1 (495 crores) followed by Kamal Haasan's Vikram (435 crores). No other actor from Tamil Industry has crossed the 400 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
