Sidharth's Yodha Day 1 Box Office Collection indicate a below par business of around 4.25 crores.
Yodha had started on a below average note at the box office with underwhelming numbers in the morning shows and it couldn't make any major improvement in the evening and nights . There were few shows in few territories blocked via corporate bookings from the makers.
Yodha needs to double up tomorrow and then have a double digit Sunday to have any chance of survival at the box office.
Yodha considering the action genre and subject should have done well in Northern India circuits but then the aerial action space is not very successfull in India. Recently Fighter also had to struggle initially to find patronage at the box office.
Yodha needs strong word of mouth at the box office to sustain at the box office as action genre movies are normally quite front loaded and very few tend to sustain well in long run at the box office.
Yodha was set-up like a project as the after-effect of the success of Sher Shah on Amazon Prime. Similar patriotic theme and action genre were used in Yodha to make it a very commercial and saleable film but at the end of the day, the quality of the film matters the most.
